Such a speech
Is to, though only heard one day,
Forever teach
That foolish is life lived another way;
When, hence harkening,
One cannot forget,
With cell darkening,
Light’s already met –
Such a speech unlocks the cage,
Though inside thee might reside,
While the jailor sleeps in silent rage,
You remain for your fett’ring pride –
So, go out!
And meet the adversity of being alive –
Go out!
And find the thing requiring you strive –
Go out!
For your prison door’s unlatched –
Go out!
Before forever you’re unhatched!
